Kiss Ups

A two person rock band comprised of bass and drums with double vocal duties, The Kiss Ups crank out a fuller and more energetic sound than most four pieces. Their music could best be described as spazz pop. It's pure, unabashed, dance-and-party-and-have-a-good-time music; positive, fun, poppy as hell and chock-full of harmonies and chunky riffs. The Kiss Ups are totally hyper and over caffeinated while still managing to fit in soothing soft ditties and spontaneous vocal/ instumental improvisations. The Kiss Ups have been joined lately by Amanda Burr on keyboards, also of the great New Paltz legend of a band He's A Cop. Michael Wilcock and Paul Heath, both accomplished visual artists and longtime musical partners will be touring (with out Amanda) :( with the Gadabout Traveling Film Festival supporting their recent split cd release with Kitty Little on Art of the Underground Records and their self released full-length cd, "Coffee Sessions."

This is a crushing powerpop release that will have you singing and removing your heels from the floor, tearing up carpet and eating too much candy! from songs about kicking back and giving yourself a cavity, to cleverly written satirical songs about our society!
