The Copyrights - Mutiny Pop
It's Alive Records - - 12inch
Available for the first time on vinyl. Not just regular old vinyl. This record comes on clear vinyl with orange and black splatter throughout! As with all It's Alive releases a nice little poster and insert are included with every copy. This album will reinstate your good faith in pop punk rock. It's pretty much the best thing to happen to the underground music scene since the turn of the century.

The Copyrights - Button Smasher
It's Alive - - 7inch
Fans of the Methadones, Mopes and Riverdales listen up! The Copyrights sound like the product of a first generation bastard child of the whole poppunk explosion that happened back in the early-mid 90's, but entirely unique. Alot of the true poppunk sound often falls into a cookie-cutter cut-n-paste format, but these four tunes have enough originality and individuality to keep you guessing. Combine that with a killer twin guitar assault, plenty of backing vocals in all the right places, a solid danceable back-beat, Danny Vapid's little brother on lead vocals and you've got yourself a recipe for a classic, top-notch punkrock record!

The Copyrights - Make Sound
Its Alive - - 12inch
After two full lengths, a buncha 7"s, and tours aplenty, these kids are ready to step up their game. The people over at MRR went as far as to call them "Pop punk's current saviors"! For the release of "Make Sound" The Copyrights have a new label, a new studio, and have further perfected their craft. Their last LP, "Mutiny Pop", made everyone's "Best Of" list and got them on tours with bands like Chixdiggit, Groovie Ghoulies, The Ergs, and more. Expect more great songs and great shows from The Copyrights as 2007 is a breakout year for these young dynamos.

The Copyrights - We Didn't Come Here To Die (pic disc)
Its Alive - - 12inch
Five years after its initial release on Insubordination Records, The Copyrights debut album is finally available on 12" vinyl. We figure since the fans of the band who have a fetish for the old-style turntable format had to wait so long for this, we'd release it as an extra special picture disc. Not only is it a picture disc, which is ridiculous enough on its own, but it is available in four different versions - one for each band member! The collectors can go wild and the completists can go nuts. When "We Didn't Come Here To Die" was first released, pop punk was a little stale, kind of boring and fading out. This album was one of the first sparks of a new take on an old sound that's burning shit up these days. Five years later this album still rocks socks off like no other! Call it a new classic.

The Copyrights - Crutches
It's Alive - - 7inch
Crutches is the first single off of The Copyrights' newest album North Sentinel Island. Like all of their jams, it is both instantly recognizable as a Copyrights song, yet at the same time just different enough from previous works to keep you guessing where they are going with it. Having already heard the new album, Crutches is really much more of a teaser than a indicator of what's to come. The safest bet is just to expect the best because every longtime Copyrights fan will tell you each successive album is better than the one before and North Sentinel Island is no exception to that rule. The flipside of this EP contains two demo tracks that didn't make the cut for the final recording of the new album; one a straight forward punk jam. The other a total pop ballad. A band that can nail it both ways is definitely doing something right.

The Copyrights - North Sentinel Island
It's Alive - - 12inch
Yet another gem to come out of Chicago’s Atlas Studios (Alkaline Trio, The Menzingers, Dead To Me, etc) and long-time Copyright’s fans will notice more instrumentation, experimentation, and added bells and whistles on this latest offering. But the nerds and die-hards need not fear, these are still the same pop-punk heroes we’ve come to rely on for big choruses, bigger hooks, and keen lyrics. This album—quite possibly their best yet—is the one that you bring along with you to that hypothetical deserted island... “North Sentinel Island” that is! *GONG*
