Here's the vinyl release of AJJ's new EP. I saw Sean a couple weeks ago at a show in Phoenix and he was so drunk that afterwards I drove his car to a burrito place, and then when he sobered up we went to this crazy hotel with four hot tubs and sat in them all until 3am.

The Children's Crusade recordings that make up Get Awesome are what originally inspired the start of It's Alive Records. Clever lyrics, dual vocalists trading off snotty and smooth vocals, perfect percussions, simplistic guitar riffing aplenty, steady driving rhythms, variety of song subjects and musical styles... this record has it all! The best pop punk music is that which hooks you from the get go with its catchiness but keeps you coming back around again and again by offering something more with each listen. These songs have a lot more to offer than it might seem with the first listen - each song is its own little masterpiece, crafted rather than simply assembled. Get Awesome is a perfect example of minimalist music styling with maximum results.

With four new songs, Alaska will satisfy the band's diehard following until the release of "The Treachery of Images" in the spring of 2003. Soon after the release of their EV debut, "If They Move...Kill Them" the band hit the road nearly continuously on support tours for the record which included stints with Thursday, Recover, Dashboard Cofessional, Piebald, Zao, Grade, Strike Anywhere and Further Seems Forever.

When the soon to be members of Living With Lions moved into their first Vancouver house, they never expected it would be so pivotal in the shaping of their next year. Having similar interests in music, beverages, and fun, the boys and their house became known for their raucous get togethers, and the house was soon named Dude Manor. Before long, the housemates turned the basement into a jam space and studio, they quickly found themselves with a solid line up of songs, and then they deemed themselves Living With Lions. After a Canadian tour with Daggermouth, they recorded these six songs. Comes with a download code for a 7th track previously unreleased in the US!!!
